Trilingual Education
Our tried and tested curriculum ensures that by the time students finish their education here, they are proficient in the use of Japanese according to national curriculum standards, have achieved a high proficiency level in English; CEFR B1-B2 as measured by the TOEFL Junior test, and are both comfortable and competant in the use of a variety of devices including IOS, Android, and various laptop operating systems.
Project Based Learning
Project-based learning encourages active engagement and critical thinking as students tackle real-world problems, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter. It also promotes teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations, preparing students for success in future careers and lifelong learning.

It is implement across subjects in our school to insure the smooth and succesful integration of both language and content learning.
Classes Without Textbooks
The vast majority of classes at YES are done without the use of textbooks.
All our teachers are experienced specialists in their fields who use materials of their own choosing to create interactive, engaging, and memorable lessons.

In addition, education technology plays a huge part in our classes and students are exposed to a variety of online learning paltforms in their lessons.
Integrated Technology
Technology is present in the majority of our lessons in one form or another. From Grade 1, Programming students are taught technological literacy through the use of iPads, Androids, and Laptops. This knowledge in reinforced in other subjects such as English to allow for more fun and engaging content teaching.
Our curriculum covers a vast variety of education technology (EdTech) platforms which our students thoroughly enjoy.
Study Abroad Programme
We are currently in the process of establishing a study abroad program with schools located in both Canada and New Zealand. We are currently on target to start sending our first students abroad from May 2024.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young adults (age 14+) to experience a whole new world of culture, ideas, and people.
